Potato
We had mashed potatoes for dinner last night. They were tasty. We grew them here at home. Somehow that made them taste a bit better. I took some pictures for you to see. Some of them were really small!!! So when I peeled them, I had to make sure and not peel my fingers. Take a look. The photos have not been edited at all and everything is exactly as you see it!
These potatoes I actually got at the store. I needed to supplement what I had grown to make enough for dinner. Peel on and peel off!

Going into the pot, you can really see how purple they are next to the white potatoes. There were only two little ones in there, but I wanted to show the contrast. Then I mashed them.. and they were a lovely shade of lilac.
I love the variety of things God has created. This was fun! The kids really liked this. Little sister was hoping we could save these purple potatoes till Thanksgiving, but we wouldn’t have had enough. It was just perfect for the four of us.

We have flown on Jet Blue a few times, and they pass out bags of BLUE potato chips! I agree… God has so much variety! Do the purple ones taste any different, or are they just more decorative? I guess a few drops of food coloring would create some interesting potatoes, too!
I love the colorful potatoes. I’ve had some blue but I don’t think I’ve ever seen purple mashed potatoes.

We grew some potatoes this year too… but I didn’t get any Pink ones… : (
I’ll have to put a drop of food coloring in my mashed potatoes next time I make them.
RYC…Thank you for your kind words. I didn’t get the shot today but will on November 2. I do have more fluid in my retinae and it is swollen. I have a great Dr. and I have great faith in the Great Phyician also.
Your purple potatoes are so cool. I agree with little sister because it would be fun…..but you are so right to enjoy them now as a family. Good on ya, girlfriend!!
